Kokondo uses the Seven Codes of the Bushido as a reminder of
the kind of people we should be. All students (youth and adults)
are taught it is better to never use the knowledge we learn on others.
They are taught the proper reaction for different circumstances, when
to use their skills and not to. And to always avoid a conflict
(fight) if possible.
Our emphasis is on doing ones best. Not comparing yourself to others,
but instead to constantly improve ones own techniques and abilities.
Safety is also a key factor in our classes. Each student is taught
that they are responsible for the safety of each person they work with.
This mandatory measure provides a safe learning environment so all
can learn and progress.
